Concept 3
Sixth Sense
The third concept is a smart system designed to assist users in detecting upcoming obstacles. A camera installed on the front of the bicycle scans the road and can detect obstacles in its path.
This smart camera serves dual purposes: identifying the road's edge and pinpointing obstacles on the route.
The system communicates detected obstacles to the user through vibrations in the bicycle handles, which have two designated spots for feedback: one in the middle and one on the sides.
If the user veers off too close to the right (approaching the sidewalk), the right-side handle vibrates, with the intensity increasing as the user gets nearer to the sidewalk.
Conversely, if the user moves too far from the sidewalk, the left handle vibrates outward, signaling the need to adjust closer to the sidewalk.
Additionally, the system alerts users to road obstacles by vibrating the middle of the handles. Depending on the obstacle's position, either the left or right handle vibrates. As an obstacle draws closer, the vibrations in the middle of the handles intensify.
