Pay attention to:

Let the participant speak and does not interrupt. Is the participant feeling comfortable? if not, switch subject.

Try to make eye contact.

Tell what you want to hear yourself first, then it is easier for the participant to follow.

Notetaker

Take notes of the interview

Make visual notes if possible. If the person is implying something, try to sketch it and show the participant to confirm

Pay attention to:

Is the facilitator is missing something and if you have to step in?

Does the participant feel comfortable or not?

Do I need to make things more clear with for example a drawing?

Does the facilitator need something?

What is the storyline?

What is important to write down and what not?

Does the participant of we ourselves have a good idea?

Observer
-
Observes the interview from a little distance
-
Takes notes on the persons behaviours
-
Watches how the interview goes, write down what is out of the ordinary
-
Write down feedback for the facilitator and notetaker as well
-
Notice the surrounding, are there things that differ from usual spaces?
-
Do they use tools for their bad vision?
-
Are there made any changes to the office?
-
Pay attention to:
-
The participants way of talking: Do they make eye contact?
-
Do they use non-verbal communication? And how?
-
Can they see the drawings we make?

Are they able to follow everything?
